Team Santic-Wibatech- International Kirschblütenrennen Race

Line-up:
Patrick Haller, Stefan Brandlmeier, Michael Peter, Bartosz Rudyk, Piotr Pekala, Bartlomiej Proc, Pawel Szostka

The team tactic was a sprint to the finish for our strongest sprinter Bartosz Rudyk at the 60. Int. Kirschblütenrennen in Wels. However, after a larger group broke away at the beginning of the race, in which no one from the team was represented, the forces had to be bundled in order to catch up with the escapees. Our team succeeded in doing so, but then a group with several riders went on the attack again. In that leading group almost all teams were now represented, but none of our team. As a result, no other big team helped our guys to close the gap of the peloton to the front of the race.

"After a short consultation with Bartosz, we decided to start the sprint from the peloton for Patrick Haller, as the chasing work also pulled on Bartosz's strength," Stefan Brandlmeier reported after the race.

Patrick Haller was the best of the team in 18th place in the day's standings.

Next up for seven riders is the Belgrade-Banja Luka 2.1 Tour on Tuesday.
